ذهبت ذات يوم للعمل متأنقة (حاطة الحطة بالتونسي) و عندما تجاوزت الباب الكبير وجدت موظفة الاستقبال القطرية المرحة وراء مكتبها فألقيت عليها التحية كالعادة. نظرت إلي و قالت: "أنت اليوم كشخة" !
فنظرت إليها باستغراب مستفسرة عما تقصد. فقالت لي كشخة يعني أنيقة!
فضحكت و قلت لها باللهجة القطرية أنت كذلك "كشخة". فأمسكت بطرف عبايتها السوداء بحنق وقالت :" منين كشخة؟"
فأحسست بارتباك و أنا ألاحظ -كأني أراها لأول مرّة- تقاسيم وجهها المتناسقة الجميلة و مكياجها المبالغ فيه تحت حجابها الأسود الذي يلف شعرها بعناية. أدركت حينها أن التأنق غريزة أنثوية و أن المجال الوحيد المسموح به في هذه الحالة كان وجهها فوضعت فيه كل رغبتها في التجمُل.
هزت رأسها مشيرة للخارج و تذمرت من الطقس و الحرارة المرتفعة (الحرارة في دول الخليج جحيمية في فصل الصيف)
و أضافت و هي تصور دائرة في الهواء على شاكلة الشمس: " الشمس تحب الحريم في بلدنا " ثم قالت مشيرة لعبايتها السوداء من جديد: "الأسود يجلب الشمس"
ضحكنا معا من نكتتها و تشجعت لأسألها سؤالا ضل في خاطري منذ مجيئي للخليج: لماذا يرتدي الرجال أثوابا بيضاء بينما تلبس النسوة ثيابا سوداء؟ من قام بهذه القسمة في البداية ؟
لم يكن عندها جواب لتساؤلي سوى كلمات مقتضبة عن العرف و العادات.
تذكرت هذه الحادثة عندما كنت أتسوق اليوم في مركز تجاري بالدوحة ( التسلية رقم واحد في الخليج) و لاحظت فتيات منقبات قد وضعن عدسات لاصقة خضراء في عيونهن المزينات بالكحل الأسود و المحاطات بهالة من الماكياج كما أني رأيت فتاة وجهها مغطى بالكامل بستار شفاف أسود يمكنها من أن ترى الآخرين دون أن تُرى و عندما تجاوزتني لاحظت أن في ظهر عبايتها السوداء تطريز لوجه امرأة!
حينها تذكرت نظريتي في مسألة التأنق و التجمل كغريزة أنثوية مستعدة للتعبير عن نفسها مهما صغرت المساحة لذلك ومهما ضُيق عليها الخناق. وبينما كنت منغمسة في أفكاري رأيت بوتيك فاخر كتب عليه بالخط العريض " كوني كشخة" فلم أتمالك نفسي من الضحك.

I have read some of your blogs...particularly the ones in Arabic. I enjoy reading in Arabic especially when the author has an interesting style as yours.
I'd like to say something and hope you'd think about it and won't jump on me (... I mean on my comment).
I see you complaining about the country you're leaving in...I had this feeling as I find your comments often negative...to say the least. I find such attitude very common among people living in a foreign country, regardless of their origins or the country they live in. I live in the US and I can tell you most foreigners here complains about the US and the Americans.
I won't tell you the famous "if you don't like it, leave", that's pretty obvious as a first comment for any one...we're all abroad for a reason and we, mostly, miss living in Tunisia. Tunisia, which as you know, has also tons of problems that would make us, Tunisians, the last to criticize others...
But I would kindly request from you to consider what you would bring by your blogs about your life in Qatar to a reader who does not know much about that country?
If your answer is "I am writing for myself", then please ignore my post.

Thank you peace for your comment. I'm not really complaining about being in Qatar. I don't feel homesick. My curiosity bring me here so I'm expressing it !
Yes sure Tunisian are the last to critize others. being in Tunisia is not better than being here only in few aspects (you give me an idea to write about the difference between the two countries).
I'm just writing my "memories" in Qatar. If I was in Tunisia be sure I'll not draw an idyllic picture about my country (read the few posts written about Tunisia)
I find this country interesting in a special way : that's why I'm writing about it !
us you can see I'm just writing about what occurs to me without any judgment (just with humor and distance)
je ne vois pas au nom de quoi devrait on se contraindre à ne pas critiquer juste parce que nous ne serions pas "du pays". C'est le propre de l'humain que d'avoir un avis sur tout, il est inutile d'interdire aux autres de penser, et encore plus stupide de leur interdire de parlar :)
ce là voudrait aussi dire que seul un dieu ou un heureux habitant du paradis serait habilité à s'exprimer. Je lis beaucoup de blogs extrêmement critiques à propos de mon pays, j'avoue que je suis parfois d'accord, souvent en désaccord avec ce qui est dit, mais après tout, c'est un avis comme un autre, à moi d'expliquer aussi mon point de vue, et puis chacun est libre.
tout ça pour dire que j'aime vos écrit mlle Leila, et que vous n'avez vraiment pas besoin de vous justifier de penser et d'écrire.

و كانك لا تعرفين انها التقافة الدكورية المسيطرة في بلاد الاسلام حيت الرجل يلبس الابيض الدي يعني الصفاء الطهارة الايمان الجنة...الخ.اما المراة فعليها ان تلبس الاسود لانها غير طاهرة - الخيض و النفاس- و دينها ناقص-قال صلعم عن جهنم ان اكتر اهلها من النساء-وشريرة -ان كيدهن لعضيم....الخ

de koi qualifier t-on la beauté!!!le mot kach5a je suis sure que c une conception du masculin pervere, c trop vulgaire et repunion pour dire beauté (c certainement pas la faute à la langue arabe).
hh mich normal khechka loll t un style spéciale mais amusant lol aller bon courage la brebis galeuse et perdue comme bcp (moi inclut)hh
